In a well-worn joke, a reference librarian is asked how her job is going. “It’s looking up!” she replies. When she started this blog, Lia was a reference librarian at Oregon Institute of Technology Library during the school year and in the summer, she worked amidst the ponderosa pines and pikas at the Crater Lake Science & Learning Center library.
Now that life has gone on and grant-funded projects have come to an end, Lia and her entourage have moved on as well. Golden, Colorado, and the Colorado School of Mines, are their new settings. At work Lia continues to learn what it means to be a reference librarian in a university setting, and at home she and the others are having a good time exploring their new home in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
